What is the purpose of the degassing valve?
The degassing valve is a small accessory that allows the gases produced naturally by the coffee to escape from the pack.
Its purpose is to prevent the packaging from swelling, giving the impression that your food product is no longer edible
and safe. The valve, being one-way, does not allow external gases and moisture to pass through the EVOH barrier and ruin
your coffee.

Our pouches can be heat sealed with no risk to materials. Just use an impulse, ultrasonic or heat sealer, even at low
temperatures! You can also equip them with a practical reclosable zip that extends the life of the pack, even after the
first use.
Are zipped packs suitable for liquids?
Yes, at Packstyle you can find the right bag for your liquid product. For this use, we advise you not to choose paper
materials but to opt for film or aluminium products instead.
Can the packs contain food and alcohol?
All our packaging comes with a declaration of conformity for food contact.
For fatty or oily foods — such as oils, mustards, sauces, fried foods, or products preserved in oil — we recommend using our recyclable paper packaging.
For products containing alcohol, our materials are not currently certified for this use. Since packaging stability may vary depending on alcohol concentration, we always recommend carrying out preliminary tests to verify compatibility with the product.
Can I vacuum pack with your pouches?
Yes, all our materials are suitable for vacuum packaging. However, we recommend that customers carry out preliminary tests, as vacuum performance also depends on the characteristics of the packaged product. In particular, products with sharp or pointed parts could compromise the integrity of the material.
Are the pouches suitable for freezing and defrosting?
Our film and aluminium materials are suitable for freezer storage down to -20 °C. As for thawing, they are not suitable for use with the defrost function of a microwave oven.
Preserves the coffee's aroma
All our packaging is equipped with a high functional barrier that protects the contents from external agents such as
oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture. This protection ensures that the aroma is maintained for a period of more than 6
months. To ensure an even more durable preservation of your coffee, we recommend the use of aluminium and paper
aluminium holders, which create a total barrier to light and prevent degradation of the surface oils in the coffee. Our
aluminium and aluminium paper materials have been tested by IEI, obtaining the "approved by" certification.
On which materials can I create a window for my pouches?
In order to always guarantee maximum protection for your products, paper and aluminium pouches cannot have windows.
Plastic films, on the other hand, can have windows of any shape and size.
How long can I store my food in your pouches?
The material has a shelf life of 24 months from the production date, when stored under the correct conditions. Beyond this period, the material must be reassessed to verify that it maintains its technical performance and compliance with the intended use.
It remains the responsibility of the end user to verify the suitability of the packaging under real conditions of use, based on the type of food packaged, the filling and processing methods, the storage conditions, and the shelf life of the finished product.
How many grams of my product can I put in a Packstyle bag?
Defining the specific weight of each product is very difficult. In order to carry out filling tests, we recommend that
you purchase a sample pack.
Can I achieve a metallic effect using the aluminium material?
Yes, of course, you can. Just do not apply the white background colour and print directly on the aluminium. Please note,
however, that with this solution, the yellow may give a golden effect and other colours may undergo slight
iridescent/metallic variations.
Can I request a print test?
We do not carry out print tests, but you can always test the performance of your graphics by placing a small order of 50
pieces.
How do I protect my envelopes to send them once filled to my customer?
Sometimes the journey with express couriers can be very rough for our parcels. For this reason, Packstyle recommends you
to pack your product carefully to avoid that the pouches get broken and the contents spill out when they arrive at your
customers. The ideal thing to do, if possible, is to put some bubble wrap on the bottom and on the sides of the boxes to
cushion the strongest blows. If you want to be environmentally friendly, you can avoid plastic packaging and write
"FRAGILE" on the box to give your products preferential treatment.
